Difficulty settings

On the right side of the Song Info page is the area where you create individual difficulties and edit data that only applies to a single difficulty level. To create your first difficulty:

  1. Choose which category your map best fits from the 7 tabs at the top.

The Categories are : Normal, Single Saber, No Arrows, 360 Degree, 90 Degree, Lightshow, and Lawless. For more info on what each of these categories mean, see _beatmapCharacteristicName

  2. Check the box next to the difficulty you would like to add.

  3. You can rename any of the difficulties by clicking the name, and typing whatever you like.

  4. The Half-Jump Duration and Jump Distance fields will auto populate based on what values are entered in the next two fields. It is a good idea in this section to stick to the recommended values you can see when you hover over the small question marks.

  5. The Note Jump Speed field is where you change the speed at which the notes move down the track. Click into the field for a pop-up of helpful information. See Basic Mapping Practices for guidance on setting an appropriate NJS for your difficulty.

  6. The Start Beat Offset field allows you to adjust how far down the track your blocks appear.

You must click the small save icon if you make a change to difficulty settings, otherwise it will not be saved. Use the Undo icon if you would like to revert to previous settings.

Click Edit Level when you're ready to start mapping!
