When combining ChroMapper with other mapping tools, the best practice is to always close ChroMapper before using any other mapping tool. Once ChroMapper loads a map from disk, it is cached for the duration of the session. Saving will always cause ChroMapper to overwrite the existing file with the cached mapwhat is stored in cache. While ChroMapper has a Map Reload functionality (Default binding is Ctrl-Shift-R), this only applies to certain parts of the difficulty file.
