Overview

You need to select at least 2 events to generate any gradient. You can select multiple events/objects using Shift + Click. The gradient will be generated between selected events, events on separate tracks will not interact but if you select more than 2 events on a single track the existing events will be treated as keyframes in the gradient.

Basic Event Strobe

The most basic strobe/gradient generator. You can pick two event types and they will be placed alternately within the selected area. This generator will override the existing events entirely unless dynamic is selected in which case value A and the colour will be overwritten by the existing event’s values.

If you enable flip colours then every 2 events the colour will be flipped.

Changing the easing affects the spacing between the placed blocks so even with a selected interval of 1/16 events will be placed at varying precision. Examples of each Easing can be found at easings.net

Chroma 2.0 Gradients

Chroma 2.0 has built in support for gradients this means you only need to place a single event to get a smooth transition. These are not supported in prop lights just like fade and flash (see step gradient below).

Just select two or more chroma events and generate!

Precise Laser Speed Interpolation

Want your lasers to accelerate instead of jump around, do we have the tool for you!

For a speed ramping effect you will need to enable lock laser rotation otherwise every event will cause the lasers to jump to a new position (If you want the lasers to jump around every beat you can generate a gradient with the same start and end speed without lock position)

Easing in laser speed doesn’t affect the placement of events, it will simply calculate values for the events using the easing.

The direction options should be straightforward and you can experiment with them yourself. You can probably leave decimal precision alone as the difference between 1.1 and 1.11 laser speed is fairly negligible.

Chroma Step Gradient

A mixture of step gradients and chroma gradients, most useful in prop where chroma 2.0 gradients don’t work but also has some extra options that can be useful anywhere.

The value, colour and flip colour options control what base event the chroma step gradient will be applied to, normally you can ignore these.

You can select an interval and easing as normal except there are two extra easings available:

  • Flicker - will alternate between the first and last event in the gradient

  • Random - will pick a random colour in-between the first and last event for each event (random by rgb so don’t expect a rainbow)
